José Luis DE LA MATA
- Born in Madrid in 1938. Son of Biskayan communist father and family, which shaped his childhood due to the inner exile, persecution and to living as a clandestine.
He has during his whole life been a member of several left-wing revolutionary organizations and has contributed to creating the Plataformas Anticapitalistas and the O.I.C. (Organización de Izquierda Communista).
- He was a professor of History of Psiocology and of Theory of Communication at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid until he quit to move to the Faculty of Psicology at the University of the Basque Country (UPV), where he works as a full professor of Theory of Communication and some other subjects.
- He belonged to the national executive of Gestoras pro-Amnistía, due to his contribution to denouncing, following up and/or treating those who had suffered torture.
- He has contributed to several critical magazines such as Triunfo, Negaciones, Punto y Hora de Euskal Herria. He usually collaborates with EGIN and EGIN Irratia, where he wrote a weekly article for the first two years of the radio-station.
- His last works are Sobre el sujeto silencioso" (Arteleku, 1995, bilingue), Colectivo "La psicología del sayón" (1996), "El suicidio y los jóvenes vascos" (Extensión Universitaria 1997)...
